I love how Mushroom lamps are making a comeback.
They started popping up in the 1970s, typically in a Murano Glass style, but now we’re seeing all sorts of Mushroom lamps in different prices and styles.
The Cottagecore aesthetic from TikTok helped blast these back into public view, so I am compiling a list of my favorite Mushroom shaped lamps ranging in different price points, but all with a reasonably minimal aesthetic.
Let's get into it.
Enchanted Mushroom Lamp
Let's start this list with the most literal Mushroom Lamp design I could find. This one is a bit different since it’s a DIY kit you assemble yourself, leaving you with this magical-looking light inspired by nature.
Metal Mushroom Table Lamp
This minimal style aligns more with the products I typically curate on Instagram. It has a simple metal body but comes in a bunch of different colors that should be able to fit within any space.
Midcentury Mushroom Table Lamp
This lamp was inspired by a Vico Magistretti design from the 70s and would be perfect for a home with some other midcentury furniture.
I picked these two colors as my favorite because I like the simplicity of the first and the vintage color combination of the second.
Arintzea Table Light
This light almost didn’t make the list because of the rectangular shape of the base, but depending on the angle you look at it, it could pass as a mushroom light (right?).
The ribbed texture is also interesting and allows the light from above to interact with it in a unique way.
Green Mushroom Floor Lamp
If you’re looking for a lamp with personality, this one is near the top of the list. The slight bend in the frame makes it perfect for leaning over a desk or table.
Salgado Mushroom Lamp
My favorite part about this design is the stark contrast between the super bulbous top and the thin, sweeping base. There’s something about a simple minimal white lamp that will always have a place in my heart.
Reverse Table Mushroom Lamp
Now this is what I’m talking about. The perfect mushroom shape, but the speckled material of the base leans into the organic inspiration of the design.
It’s my favorite on this list, but it’s also by far the most expensive.
Gunmetal Mushroom Table Lamp
This one is probably the least mushroom-looking out of the bunch because of the broad base, but I like the dark look of the gunmetal material.
The Gio Table Lamp
The designers of this lamp were influenced by lighting designs from the 70s, and its soft appearance almost gives it a sculptural look. The best part about these 3d printed lamps is how you can get a really well-designed object at a fraction of the price.
Arpeggio Sideboard Table Light
This one is unique because it reminds me of those weird upside-down-looking mushrooms you can sometimes find out in the wild. It comes in a few colors and gives a nice subtle glow with a warm light.
Panthella mini table lamp
If you’re looking for something smaller, this Panthella lamp could be a good choice. Its design is similar to the Salgado lamp in this article, but I wanted to include it because of its small size and attractive reflective look.
Okoyo Wooden Mushroom Lamp
This list wouldn't be complete without at least one wooden lamp. This shop offers this in a few different materials and sizes, and gets about 12 hours of use off a single charge.
Vintage Murano Glass Mushroom Lamp
As I mentioned in the intro, these vintage Murano Glass mushroom lamps are classic designs from the 70s. Your best bet to find one of these out in the wild is to browse your favorite vintage furniture stores, eBay, or look out for resellers on Instagram.
I grabbed these photos from a local Instagram seller who was selling one of these for about $400 (expect to pay something similar).
I hope this curated selection of Mushroom Lamps gives you a helpful starting point for finding a style you like. Some are more literal in their design, while others are more minimal—leaving you to find something that will fit your space.
