In a time of luxurious, uncomplicated neutrals and monochrome glory, the options for polishing off our carefully curated wardrobe with some fresh, minimalistic earrings are seriously lacking.
Now that’s not to say that minimalist jewelry aren’t out there, but after a quick search, we discovered that the perfect earrings are harder to find than they should be. We also found that some of the sources with helpful lists of aforementioned minimal beauties are less helpful than we had hoped and also… not precisely minimal.
There are a ton of earrings covered in gemstones and pearls, tied in knots on top of knots, dangling with tassels, and shaped like hammers (yes, hammers). While we’ve got nothing against these (I’m all for a good tassel at the right time and place, and the hammers had a strange pull), we wanted to sift through and create a quick reference for some appealing yet minimalist jewelry for others in the same boat.
(Important note! Many of the earrings listed here often come in alternative materials or finishes, even if the image shows gold or silver. Click the links to find what suits your fancy.)

Hey Cupid. I need these now. Thanks.
A set of simple, understated hearts. You can’t go wrong.
Taudrey’s square set is what we want for geometrics.

Square Stud Earrings
Something about a simple, flat square stud just scratches an itch.
Karine Sultan Stud Earrings
The brushed finish of these studs gives a simple dimension.
These studs (top) have rounded edges to smooth out the vibes. We like.

The perfect little sweetie hoop, hugging anywhere you want to put it. Simple and classic is always the best.

In a world full of circular hoop earrings, be a … rectangle? Get out of the box (or back in the box?) with a subtle shape change that makes a statement. Minimalist and delicious.

Still rolling with the rectangle theme, but this time checking off the bold box.
If you’re looking for a hoop with a simple, organic feel, look no further. Treat yourself to this set for a bit of minimalist flow.
Padma Cuff Set
This cuff set (pictured on the left) can be worn in many ways, including a lip ring. Check the link. You’ll probably find yourself putting it on your lip and staring at your cute self in the mirror.
A small split through the center of these gold hoops adds just the right amount of delicate appeal.

Classic Gold Hoops
Here, I got you these closed hoops. You’re welcome.
The Sinai hoops are a perfect option for a mid-size gold hoop. Is it just me, or are they extra shiny?
If you’re in the mood for a hoop that feels a little more organic but still has the structure that we minimalists love, we got you.
Henge Circle Earrings
Do these count as hoops? We say yes. Catori Life’s Henge earrings have a rustic vibe while staying simple.

We’re loving the mid-length drop here. Not too long, not too short. Just right, Goldilocks.
Paperclip Drop Earrings
These have just enough character to set them apart while staying simple. Approved. Thanks, Otis Jaxon.

Geometric Ear Cuff
The illusion of this cuff is contributing some cool factor to the minimal earring category. We dare you to not be complimented while wearing these.

Back again with the illusion, Otis Jaxon is keeping things artistic here in the house of minimal. Take my money, good sir.
Hammered Sterling Silver Ear Cuff
This cuff’s minimal yet industrial vibe is calling my name in its sultry whiskey voice.

How cool are these? White topaz stones allow these ear cuffs to pop while still being understated.
These ear pins can mix it up by adding a little flair to an outfit or a little glitz for a night out.
Gold Bar Ear Cuff
With its long design, this cuff can be worn in multiple ways. It works well in a simple drop like this photo, but you can also hook it at the top of your ear and connect it through the lobe for a totally different vibe (check the listing for an example).
