I’ve been a Warby Parker fan for years. I first discovered them in 2017 after falling in love with their Baker frames, and I’m on my second pair now.
When they reached out to see if I wanted to try some of their new models, I figured it was a good chance to step out of my comfort zone and pick something I normally wouldn’t choose for myself.

Buying glasses online is always a bit of a gamble, but Warby Parker’s iPhone app has a LiDAR-based try-on mode that’s surprisingly accurate. After browsing a few options, I decided to give the York frames a shot.

Each pair arrives in a compact branded box with the logo debossed on the outside. I don’t think the packaging has changed in a decade—but it works.

They offer a few add-ons at checkout, but I stuck with the basics. The science is still mixed on blue-light lenses, so I went with standard lenses instead.

Overall, the quality is excellent for the price. Expensive glasses have never made much sense to me since most materials and designs are fairly standardized at this point.
I appreciate how Warby Parker helped disrupt the market early on. While there are cheaper brands out there, I still prefer Warby Parker’s frame designs.
If you haven’t tried their virtual try-on feature, I highly recommend it. It’s been part of the app for years, and most competitors are still playing catch-up when it comes to its accuracy.
